Detroit Food 2018 will be the 8th annual Detroit Food Summit held by DFPC. DFPC hosts this annual conference to increase awareness about our food system, and develop strategies for building a healthier food system in Detroit. Detroit Food brings together community members, food industry workers, advocates, researchers and policy makers.

The Detroit Food Policy Council holds the summit annually to educate and inspire Detroit citizens about food security and other food related issue in the city. The Summit will help connect those interested in improving the community and their own lives from nutritional and economic standpoints to others with like needs and valuable resources.

We offer a range of registration rates of $30- $160 so that the conference can be accessible to as many people as possible. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please support Detroit Food 2018 by giving as generously as possible with your registration contribution. The true expense of Detroit Food 2018 is $130 per person. We will consider the registration amount you pay in excess of $130 as a tax-deductible gift to Detroit Food Policy Council. Detroit Food 2018 does not offer group rates. Please pay the registration contribution that you can afford for each of your participants..

Sign up for the Friends of Detroit Food Policy Council by February 20 to receive a discount code that can be used for the Standard Registration.

Scholarships are available. To request a scholarship email Olivia Henry with your name and email address, Scholarship recipients need to complete the registration after they receive a reply about their scholarship request. 


Volunteer positions are open and needed! Volunteers who complete a total of four (4) volunteer hours will have the registration fee for Detroit Food 2018 waived.  Once 4 hours have been signed up for please allow 48 hours to recieve the code to waive registration
