A special thank you to our host, Rod Hardamon, author of Trying to Get There: Navigating Your Success. Rod will be speaking and holding a book signing at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History on October 6 at 6pm.

Thank you to our partner, the Green Grocer Project of Detroit Economic Development Corporation, host of the Eastside Eats Innovation Tour; and to our sponsor, Whole Foods Market Detroit for sponsoring the appetizer station at our strolling dinner.

The Golden Beet Awards is our annual fundraiser, and proceeds from the event will fund DFPC’s work in education, engagement, research, policy and youth programming.  The evening will include a strolling dinner, award ceremony, and live music from Detroit’s own JukeBoxx Inc. The VIP ticket also includes the Eastside Eats Innovation Tour hosted by the Green Grocer Project, free parking for the event, and a VIP reception after the tour. By purchasing a ticket for the Golden Beet Awards you will also receive a one year membership to our Friends of the Detroit Food Policy Council.
